Matt Johns founded HoneyHive Capital to create a premier private-placement platform where investors can connect with quality fund managers offering faith-aligned opportunities.
With more than twenty years of experience mobilizing capital, Matt has raised and deployed funds across private equity, venture, and real-asset investments while earning a reputation for rigorous due diligence and relationship-driven execution.
Matt is also author of the bestselling book, "Purpose Driven Capital: How to Align Your Money with Your Mission and Multiply Your Impact." He is also host of the Purpose Driven Capital Podcast. Through this platform, he helps families and institutions align their spending, investing, and giving to create the impact they want to see in the world.
Before launching HoneyHive, he spent nearly two decades in nonprofit leadership, directing major fundraising campaigns, large-scale disaster-response initiatives, and government-relations efforts.
This background in mission-driven capital formation informs HoneyHive’s disciplined and values-based approach to private offerings.
Matt previously served as General Partner of an agriculture private-equity fund and has consulted for many private market managers.
He serves on multiple nonprofit and advisory boards, including the national board of Ground Force Humanitarian Aid, Bountiful Financial’s Catholic Advisory Council, and as a Mentor for The Institute at Ave Maria University.
Matt holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses, earned an MBA from LSU–Shreveport, and a BA from Baylor University. He is a Registered Representative of Finalis Securities LLC, Member FINRA/SIPC.
