Matt Johns
Founder & Managing Partner
Matt Johns founded HoneyHive Capital to connect investors with fund managers offering faith-aligned investment opportunities.
With more than twenty years of experience mobilizing capital, Matt has raised and deployed funds across private equity, venture capital, and real assets, earning a reputation for rigorous due diligence and relationship-driven execution.
He is the author of the bestselling book Purpose Driven Capital: How to Align Your Money with Your Mission and Multiply Your Impact, which helps families and institutions align their spending, investing, and giving with the impact they want to create in the world.
Matt also founded ChristianAlts, a media platform offering a distinctly Christian perspective on investing, money, and the ethical questions surrounding both.
Before launching HoneyHive, Matt spent nearly two decades in nonprofit leadership, where he directed major fundraising campaigns, large-scale disaster-response initiatives, and government-relations efforts. That experience in mission-driven capital formation now informs HoneyHive’s disciplined, values-based approach to private offerings.
He serves on multiple nonprofit and advisory boards, including the national board of Ground Force Humanitarian Aid and Bountiful Financial’s Catholic Advisory Council. He also serves as a mentor for The Institute at Ave Maria University.
Matt earned an MBA from LSU–Shreveport and a BA from Baylor University. He holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations and is a Registered Representative of Finalis Securities LLC, Member FINRA/SIPC.
